AL HAWTAH COAST, DHOFAR, OMAN

Hidden in Wilayat Rakhyut, in the far south-west of Oman, Al Hawtah is one of the most distinctive bays on the Dhofar coast. Reaching it takes a 3 km drive by four-wheel drive over rough terrain, and the reward is a wild, secluded cove that few visitors ever see.

I photographed this scene at the end of the khareef monsoon season, when vivid green marine algae cover the rocks along the shore and dark clouds still hang over the wide bay. The contrast between the bright green rocks, the deep sea and the moody sky captures the raw character of Dhofar after the rains.

The cove is also a haven for marine life, with wildlife returning to its waters every year.

As a fine art print, it brings the drama and freshness of Oman's southern coast to any living room, bedroom or office.

I am using Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper (260) delivers highly saturated prints by providing maximum ink coverage and high D-Max for true photographic copies. using Luster paper will make the photo stay years before significant fading and / or changes in color balance occur 75 years.
