MATTRAH SOUQ; THE BEATING HEART OF OMAN'S NIGHTLIFE

The Mattrah Souq marketplace has become a hotspot for the global photography community in recent years, who congregate here in the hope of doing the stunning Souq justice through the lens. From the vibrant colors to the bustling human energy, narrow alleyways, and intricately designed architecture, there’s no shortage of photo opportunities for visual artists in this photographer’s paradise on Earth.
Most camera-wielding dreamers can be found skulking here at sunset, as magic hour drenches the Souq in a soft golden light.
After obtaining permission from the building’s guards and residents, this particular photo of the Mattrah Souq marketplace was taken at the cusp of sunset, from the roof of one of the Souq’s adjacent structures.
